Aerial Machine Gaggino Original Patent Lithograph 1888
On this original linen-backed lithograph from 1888, Gaggino, G. patented an aerial machine with aerostats. This machine consists of an aerostat surrounded by a large diaphragm or sail and is provided with horizontal and vertical rudders, a balance weight, and a car. It is made to move in a sinuous course by inclining the sail with the end downwards when it reaches its highest altitude, allowing it to descend rapidly.
