DESCRIPTION:

On this original linen-backed lithograph from 1888, Cravos, S. patented a window-shutter. This invention consists of an addition of an external blind or shutter with pivoted louvres, or of an external casement with pivoted panels or panes, and in fittings therefor. The louvres are worked simultaneously by a central rod attached to the inner edges. These louvre frames may be replaced by glazed frames. A roller blind may be fitted between the external blind or casement and the internal casement.
